Men’s Mental Health Month: You Don’t Have to Carry It Alone

I’m not a man, but I’ve been surrounded by them my entire life. I’ve seen what the world asks of men. I’ve seen the pressure to be strong, to hold it all together, to never let anything show. I’ve witnessed the weight that settles silently on shoulders that never ask for help.
Fathers, brothers, husbands, sons, friends, students, each with stories written behind steady eyes. Strength often wrapped in silence. Pain hidden behind purpose.
This month, I want to say something clearly:
To every man reading this, you are allowed to feel.
You are allowed to rest.
You are allowed to heal.
Your worth is not measured by how much you carry in silence.
There is no shame in asking for help.
There is no weakness in vulnerability.
There is honor in healing.
Let these words be your reminder:
I am allowed to feel.
I am not defined by what I carry alone.
I am worthy of support and softness.
I am strong, and I am still human.
I believe in the power of community, of connection, of letting down the armor long enough to breathe. Because true strength isn’t found in isolation, it’s forged in knowing when to lean on others.
So this June, during Men’s Mental Health Month, I stand with you. I see you.
And I hope you remember this: You don’t have to walk through the fire alone.
